A new carpet installation with Anton's runs four straightforward steps, and you get a written price before step two. Most single-level and basement jobs finish in a day.
- On-site measure and quote. We measure every room, count the stairs, note tear-out and prep, and hand you a written number. No guessing from an online average.
- Subfloor prep and tear-out. We remove old carpet and pad, inspect the tack strip, re-secure loose subfloor, silence squeaks, and check below-grade concrete for moisture.
- Pad and carpet install. We set the right pad for the room, then install your carpet to the CRI 104 and 105 standards, seaming so joints do not telegraph through.
- Walk-through. We power-stretch, trim transitions, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.

Installed carpet pricing depends on the carpet grade, the pad you choose, the room count and stairs, and how much subfloor prep and old-carpet tear-out the job needs. A builder-grade plush over standard pad in an open basement sits at the low end. A wool or high-twist frieze with an upgraded moisture-barrier pad and multiple stair runs sits higher. What carpet padding should I choose?
Pad thickness and density matter more than most homeowners expect, and Minnesota basements change the answer. For a below-grade basement or a walkout in the west metro, we usually recommend a denser 6 to 8 pound pad with a moisture barrier, because the clay-heavy soils around Chanhassen, Victoria, and Chaska hold spring melt against foundation slabs. For bedrooms and stairs above grade, a 7/16 inch, 8 pound rebond pad is the common spec. The right pad extends carpet life and helps hold the manufacturer texture-retention warranty.
